the Mitchell family following the end of World War II. Father returns
home from the War and finds a job in Canada where the rest of the
family join him. They find a home in a remote cabin and the adventures
of this large family make for delightful reading.

Friendly Gables
The final book in the series covering the adventures of the Mitchells family, Friendly Gables
tells the story of the family, which following the birth of twins, has
grown to eight children. The family is still in Quebec, now settled
into a large comfortable house, and the children are adjusting to the
twins, the Nurse that comes to help, their new life in French Canada.
