Boissevain Books was formed in 2010 by the Estate of Hilda van Stockum, the award-winning author and illustrator of books for children and teens. Our mission is to introduce Hilda van Stockum's work to new generations of readers, manage the rights of her literary works and art, and to publish new meaningful works of fiction and non-fiction for readers of all ages. John Tepper Marlin, one of Hilda's children and the Executor of her Estate is the President of Boissevain Books.
Boissevain Books LLC was chartered in New York State as a limited liability corporation. Boissevain is the maiden name of Hilda's mother Olga. There already is a van Stockum Books! More than a century old, it is on the main square in the Hague, Holland; Theo van Gogh, a cousin of Vincent, once worked there.
