Christopher G. Oakley

Christopher G. Oakley, author of “Sex, drugs and rock ’n’ roll: the story of Dionysus” and co-author of “The Legend of Perseus”, lives in Oxford, England, where, in 1980 and 1984, he took two degrees in Physics, following in the footsteps of his great-uncle Willem van Stockum. The Greek mythology books were written in collaboration with classicist Gregory Klyve, and were intended to make a few fast bucks so they would not have to work for a living. Unfortunately, despite the very reasonable pricing, not enough of you have bought these magnificent volumes, so he has had to make a living as a computer programmer, which remains his occupation today.
